Congratulations Alison!  2021 Recipient of the USEA Cornerstone Instructor of the Year Award!  The Cornerstone Instructors Award honors the lower level instructor who has inspired riders in the sport of eventing with their encouragement and long-term dedication teaching basic horsemanship skills.

Alison Eastman-Lawler has over 30 years of teaching and 35 years of riding experience.  She is an ICP certified instructor, and a graduate "A" from Groton Pony Club.  Having evented for the past 30 years she has competed through the Preliminary three-day level.  She has numerous wins throughout the East Coast on horses she has brought along herself.  In 2014, Alison earned her Bronze Medal in dressage.  In 2017, Alison earned her Silver Medal in dressage aboard the lovely Donte.  She is an active competitor and coach.  Her students range from beginners through preliminary level event riders.

She enjoys all aspects of teaching from a young child learning to post to a student completing their first event.  Alison shares her lifetime love of horses and riding with her students and works hard to help each student reach their personal goal.  Many of her students are active competitors but she also enjoys teaching those who are interested in just learning to ride.  She has a large adult student population and specializing in helping riders regain and/or improve their confidence.  Having learned from the best she credits her education to the following trainers: Ashley McVaugh, Suzi Gornall, Karen O'Connor, Lynn Coates-Holmes, Mike Plumb, Pat Spettel, Kathy Connelly, Tad Coffin, and the United States Pony Club.

Alison is available for coaching at many of the events through out Area 1 and in Area 3 for the winter months.  Schedule available upon request.  Trailering is also available to most competitions.
